We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Cyber Data Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting security-related data to identify trends, detect threats, and support proactive cyber defense strategies. This role requires strong technical skills, an investigative mindset, and the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations.
🔎 Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Monitoring
- Analyze large volumes of cybersecurity logs, alerts, and event data using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel, etc.).
- Monitor network traffic, endpoint activity, and system behaviors to identify anomalies or indicators of compromise (IOC).
- Perform log correlation and event triage to detect potential threats and security breaches.
Threat Detection & Investigation
- Support incident response teams by providing data insights and evidence-based findings.
- Investigate suspicious activities to determine root causes, impacts, and remediation actions.
- Identify patterns, trends, and vulnerabilities across cybersecurity datasets.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate security findings.
- Document incident timelines, threat intelligence observations, and analytical conclusions.
- Present findings to security leadership and cross-functional teams.
Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI)
- Gather and analyze threat intelligence from internal and external sources.
- Track emerging cyber threats, attack vectors, and vulnerabilities.
- Support the development of threat models and security recommendations.
Security Tools & Automation
- Utilize SIEM platforms, endpoint detection tools, and network monitoring solutions.
- Build scripts or automation (Python, PowerShell, SQL, etc.) to streamline data analysis.
- Support continuous improvement of analytical processes and detection capabilities.
